As time has passed, of course hindsight is always 20/20. But now is the time to make those mistakes, learn from them and grow. Remember no matter what anyone else says you are strong, independent and just the way God wants you to be. While life will change in you in various ways, but after the dust settles, you will be the better for it.
Speak up for yourself. When others are saying horrible and mean things, take it upon yourself to say how you feel. Letting it sit and soak in makes you less of you. When that boy pulls your hair relentlessly every single day in Spanish class, own it when you finally decide to take matters into your own hands. Smack him harder than I did. It sure will get their attention and show that you might be a little Freshman but you’re not someone to put down.
When its time to get married, know that that first marriage is a huge mistake but one you need to let happen so that you can grow and learn from it. Without it you will never fully appreciate the love and caring that Steve will give you.
At 36 I can say I don’t have any regrets. I lived the life I thought was best to live at the moment I was in. You need to do that too. Live every second like it will be your last.
