There’s the idea of giving games and gaming consoles for the holidays but there’s also the idea of doing family time gaming together too. The key is to find games that work together for the entire family. I’d love to give you some hints with three games that are going to help merge family time between generations and genders.
For Family Friendly (crossing generational and gender gaps)
Of course we have games that are family friendly that everyone can play together those are the ones that I love the most. We have a few different ones that we play already including they different Skylanders games. Our current favorite is Crash Bandicoot: N Same Trilogy. In this remastered version of the first three titles – Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped – not only do you have the ability to play with Crash, who has been enhanced and is ready to dance, you can also play with his incredibly trendy little sister Coco in the fight to defeat Doctor Neo Cortex. Its been fun to take a character we grew up with and watch the kids develop a love for him.
For Teens (crossing genders gaps in teens)
You would be surprised to see how teenaged females will play some of the games. We go to a local gaming store on Friday nights for a gaming night. They have all of the gaming systems available to play and will allow you to play any game you want. The kids like to go because they have tables set up and they do Pokemon battles. I like to go to watch what the big hits are for the teens. The big game the last few weeks has by far been Destiny 2. Destiny 2 give players the chance to go on an adventure across the solar system and back again, as players wage war against the Red Legion, discover the secrets of our forgotten past, and aid allies in need of a legendary hero. Experience an unprecedented combination of cinematic storytelling, thrilling solo adventures, competitive, and public gameplay – all seamlessly woven into an expansive online world. Rally your friends or venture alone. The choice is yours.
For Adults (crossing generations)
Charlie started playing Call of Duty with my dad last year and he fell in love. We let him get a special edition version that came with three of the games at one time. This year I see the two of them really getting into Call of Duty with the latest version: Call of Duty World War II. Its a breathtaking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation. Land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations in history’s most monumental war. Experience classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie, and the unforgiving nature of war. The campaign features performances from Josh Duhamel and Jonathan Tucker. Call of Duty: WWII’s co-operative mode also unleashes a new and original story, featuring David Tennant, Katheryn Winnick, Elodie Yung and Udo Kier, providing player with a next-level standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.
