Steve and I fell in love with Medieval Times back in 2002 when we visited our first castle. We were on our honeymoon in California (yep this Disney mom went to Disneyland for her honeymoon) and I wanted to do something that was more for my new husband. I had never really heard of Medieval Times but I knew that it had to be something Steve would love. So we went. He paid the extra money to have an announcement made. So imagine my surprise when the king announces Lord Steven and Lady Holly here on their honeymoon. Of course the king then made a joke about maybe we shouldn’t be at the castle but off doing other things. Since that trip we’ve been to the Castle in Florida and of course the beautiful castle in our hometown of Baltimore.
Last night we headed to the Baltimore Castle and met up with some friends. We had a delicious meal. Did you know that they offer vegan meals as well as gluten free meals? So a gluten free meal is actually pretty much the same as regular meals. We don’t get a piece of bread and at dessert time we get a special ice rather than a pastry. Honestly I’ve had both regular and gluten free and I love them the same.
I love that every so often Medieval Times changes up the story line. Something new is always available. I think my favorite part is always seeing the horsemanship at the beginning. These animals are just magnificent and it’s so fun to see them do their leaps, prancing and more. The kids love the falconry demonstration though.
As I said the story changes every so often but one thing is always consistent and that is cheering on your knight. We cheered on our favorite XXXXX knight!
Like I said this is a great time to head to the Baltimore Castle. Not only is it fun but there are a couple great specials going on right now. Prices for our 2017 Spring Break will be $37.95 for adults and $29.95 for Students & Kids when guests use the code SPR3729.
Before the 5pm shows this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (April 11-13th) we will include FREE Jr. Knights Training (limited space available first come first serve) and a FREE activity book for every child! Doors open at 3:30pm & training begins at 4pm. Children must be between the ages of 5 and 12 to participate. Training is open to both boys and girls. Closed toe shoes are required to participate.
