As a mom that is always looking for the best for my kids, I love the idea of advancing their knowledge in multiple ways. The hard part in this day and age is to get kids to be involved without a computer, phone, or tablet. Charlie is my math and science guru of the house. He is heavily involved with MESA and loves coding. Rae, however, has lost her love of math. It has to do with a bad teacher. Science is something she has loved but always struggled with. We were recently introduced to the Steve Spangler Science Club. We were sent a Science Club kit to test out and review. All opinions are our own.
What is the Spangler Science Club?
The Spangler Science Club features highly interactive experiments and hands-on activities created by Steve Spangler. His easy to follow lessons serve as an introduction to more in-depth experiments and challenges that push the learner’s creativity to the next level. The experiments are likely to fizz, pop, bubble or erupt into something that is guaranteed to fill the room with oohs & ahhhs. Each box is filled with Steve Spangler’s unique blend of experiences that inspire wonder, boost creativity, enhance problem-solving skills and make learning fun.
What was in our Spangler Science Club?
Our box was the Newton box. I love this as Newton did so much to further different aspects of science and physics. The Stem Lab box we received included cards to describe how to perform the experiments as well as all materials for each one. The cards also have in depth descriptions of how each experiment works and what aspects to be looking for.
What did Rae think of her Stem Lab Spangler Science Club?
This is one of those times when seeing is believing. Rae decided to do a video unboxing her kit as well as performing the first experiment, Falling Hex Nuts. This involves the laws of inertia. The card gives an in depth definition of inertia, shows you how to perform the experiment and more.
Cost of Spangler Science Club?
The Spangler Science Club has a couple of different options. The options include the Stem Starter, Stem Lab and Stem Deluxe. The difference is easy to see as the Stem Starter is $14.99 a month and includes one experiment, Stem Lab is $19.99 and includes up to 5 experiments, Stem Deluxe is $29.99 and includes up to 10 experiments.
