Lightening McQueen Slime & Cars 3 Activity Sheets

Slime is a huge hit in our house right now. But so is Cars 3. I wanted to combine the two loves and create a way to play for both kids. So now we have Lightening McQueen Slime!lightening mcqueen slime

The slime is super easy to make but please remember to help your child in creating. This is NOT edible slime.

  1. 6 ounces of clear glue
  2. approximately 1/2 tbsp baking soda
  3. approximately 5 drops of contact solution
  4. yellow food dye
  5. red glitter
  6. LEGO Tires

We combined a few drops of yellow food dye with our glue first. I just added the dye and then shook the bottle to mix it in. The kids actually liked watching this as it showed how a substance disperses within a viscous liquid. Yep a little science in there! Then mix the baking soda and glue in a bowl until well mixed. Add in a few drops of contact solution at a time. Be sure that you do this slowly. Too much and you’ll wind up with a brick instead of slime. Once the slime is no longer super sticky it’s ready. Then add a little red glitter and the LEGO tires just to have some fun.

You can also enjoy some fun with some great Cars 3 activity sheets that Disney has created.

Plus a new trailer was released today!

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

  1. Holly,
This is a crazy video for the play dough! It’s so soft and pliable, that I wanted to reach out and play with it, too!

    • It really was fun to make! The kids are having so much fun with playing with the extra we had!
