Double Duty with Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo

I love making some of our favorite items in a gluten free version. Over by the seafood department, there is always the Kajun Krab dip and I love it. The problem is imitation crab is often made with wheat as a binder. No bueno for those that are gluten free. So for years I’ve suffered with not having the delicious taste. But I have found some gluten free imitation crab and can now make my own! This week I received a Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo to review and I was excited to put it to the test. I love that its one machine that does two jobs! Less space on the counter.

Of course the first thing I did was make a smoothie. Super easy and simple with the blender attachment. The Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo actually comes with two 24 ounce cups and one 32 ounce cup for making smoothies or shakes and take them on the go.

Recipe for my Strawberry Protein Smoothie

  1. A handful of Frozen strawberries
  2. A handful of ice
  3. One cup of water or low fat milk
  4. One scoop Premiere Protein

But like I said the Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo is two appliances in one. So I was excited to also use it to make my Gluten Free Krab Dip.

Ingredients:

  1. 16 ounces Trans Ocean flake style crab (it should say right on the front that it is gluten free!)
  2. 8 ounces cream cheese
  3. 1 cup sour cream
  4. 2 tablespoons Creole seasoning
  5. dash hot sauce
  6. 2 cups shredded cheese

Cut the cream cheese in small sections.

Blend in the sour cream

Add Creole seasoning

Blend well

Once all blended move to a large bowl and fold in the crab and cheese.

Serve on crackers or celery.
