If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you want to go? What is your travel bucketlist? For me its a simple list of 3 places.
1. Ireland: So our family is Irish. I’m pretty darn proud of my Irish heritage. We’ve even traced our bloodlines all the way back to a certain city in Ireland. I would love to walk through some of those cities to see where my ancestors lived. As a knitter and spinner, I would also love to see the sheep and farms from that area. There is a difference between buying your yarn at a yarn or hobby store and seeing where it comes from. I love the idea of getting a skein or two straight from the farm and seeing the sheep it actually comes from. There is also the fact that there are different sheep brands in Ireland then we have here which give a different yarn texture.
2. France: Most people have a desire to go to France to visit Paris but I would love to visit some of the smaller cities. To see how things truly are in French living. I love the idea of immersing myself in life of the culture and not being a typical tourist! While their food tends to be gluten heavy with all the breads, you can skip the breads and many of their foods are actually gluten free. I love that they are more cheese, fruit and veggie centered and that would be great for me. Give me a great cheese plate with some fruit and I’m a happy girl.
3. The Great Barrier Reef: I love to swim and I do it every Tuesday in an indoor pool but would love to see some of the sights under the water at the Great Barrier Reef. I would love to swim with the fish and see the corals. We had a saltwater tank when I was pregnant with Charlie and had to get rid of it because at 9 months pregnant I was worried about reaching into the tank to clean it out. So I would love to see the fish again and actually be with them.
What would be your places to visit on your travel bucket list?
