An ER trip, a bowling birthday party and work?
So a friend called this evening and asked how our weekend was so far, what we’ve been up to, and our plans for tomorrow. UMM Yeah I worked for 5 hours yesterday before I had an asthma attack and wound up in the ER. Luckily the triage nurse called respiratory to do a treatment. So by the time I saw the doc, I was done with the treatment and ready to go home. OH and before someone thinks I’m a DA for not having an inhaler. The docs switched it in February because I was pregnant with Rachael. Of course my prime season is fall so I didn’t fill it. The pharmacy some how lost the script. I had called the docs office about calling in a script and I’m not sure what happened. I started with symptoms at 3 and by 530 the doc’s office was closed and there was no script at the pharmacy. The good news is the ER doc ordered some for me. And as it tends to go I’ve had to use it twice since leaving the ER. And will be doing another round in a few minutes.
Got up this morning and felt much better. Still hacking up a lung from this cold we’ve all got. But did some work to make up time from yesterday (oh and time from Tuesday when we took Rachael to the ped for an eczema break out) Then we took the kids to a birthday party at the bowling alley. Charlie was so cute trying to bowl. But it was really hard to get pics. Got home from there and oh yeah did some more work. Only 30 minutes left to hit my hours for the week but I’m done for the night.
As for Rachael I’m a little more concerned. She has had a severe upset stomach/general fussiness that we’ve attributed to milk based products. She started almost immediately while breast feeding (the biggest reason we stopped) it continued while on the milk based formula and got better after moving to the soy formula. Lo and behold she’s had two 4 ounce bottles of breast milk and the symptoms returned. Thus leading the ped and us to believe it’s a milk intolerance. So Tuesday I took Charlie for a speech eval meeting get home and my sister had called that Bobby has a rash and on antibiotics. I pick Rachael up to love on her and she has a scaly rash all over her cheek, forehead and ear. Off to the ped we go. Don’t you know she’s got a severe outbreak of eczema. First time I’d ever seen this on her. Then today all of these grubby children are all over my poor girl and touching her. They had pizza for lunch and some had sippy cups of milk. I pick Rachael up from her seat to feed her and she had a hive on her arm. Someone please tell me not to freak cause I’m seriously getting concerned that she has a milk allergy and not just an intolerance. And a big WTH am I going to do if she is allergic? Milk is the way we get 50-60% of Charlie’s fat into him. The child is tiny enough as it is I can’t take the milk away.
Ok off to breath, relax, and get some sleep. Before Getting up and doing more work.
