We’ve been a little busy lately- we have a small farm, so right now we’re busy with our regular spring maintenance, planting, and of course who can forget baby animals everywhere! We’ve got ducks in the bathtub, chicks in the mudroom… it’s nuts!
So of course it’s also when all the little extras hit and it was Staff Appreciation day for Landon’s school. I was sure they’d be getting food galore, so per usual, I racked my brain trying to think of something fun and different to show the love.
Luckily, I’d also volunteered to help with our local FFA fundraiser and while picking up donations at the garden center, spied some beautiful pansies for sale! Pansies are a great little gift- they are hearty if you will have them a few days (no presenting someone with a droopy plant!) and are very affordable. These were a dollar each, or 18 for $15.
To jazz them up, I had Landon dunk his hand in an inkpad (he loved that- have wipes nearby!) and stamped it on a piece of stock paper, and then cut it out so it looked flower-ish. I hot glued it to a popsicle stick when Landon wasn’t looking, and stuck it into each plant. It turned out so cute!
I was so proud of my little stroke of genius and wanted to share it with you all if you are looking for a little spring time gift for a crowd- Cute, Cheap, and Different- what I like to go for!
Do you have any fun ideas for gifts when things pop up?
