Kidz Bop Dance Party

Introducing Kidz Bop Dance Party

With songs like Tik Tok, I Gotta Feeling and Party Like a Rockstar even us parents are going to find it hard to sit in our seats.

Our Thoughts

I’ve told you before that our kids just love to dance. We’d been stuck on Alvin and the Chipmunks for quite some time now.  While I like the sounds the same 15 songs playing constantly gets old rather quickly. I was excited to listen to the Kidz Bop Dance Party CD. Like many of the Kidz Bop CDs it combines newer pop songs with some oldie but goodies. The best part for the kids is that they are listening to music being sung by kids. They really do hate to listen to my music. I mean what kid really wants to listen to Macy Gray or Reba? We popped the CD in the car and off we headed to the gym. The kids started dancing and trying to sing. Meanwhile mommy could sing some of the songs with them as I know the words too.  With a total of 12 new songs on this CD we were able to make it to the gym and home again without listening to a single song twice and the kids didn’t badger me to listen to their music.

Want to keep your kids moving and grooving? I would try out the Kidz Bop Dance Party.

PostEgram: Connecting Families

Posted by: Holly | Comments (1)

Introducing PostEgram

From PostEgram:

PostEgram was designed with seniors and military service people in mind. Most adults over the age of 65 do not have an Internet connection in their homes and our servicemen and servicewomen overseas have limited access and time to communicate online.  So as millions of Facebook users communicate instantly, PostEgram gives a broader group of people the opportunity to share those personal exchanges with loved ones in a format that is familiar and accessible.

Our Thoughts

My parents are well connected in the online world, but Steve’s mom has problems turning on the computer. She bought a computer a few years ago and about 3 months ago finally gave up and gave it to the grandkids. So keeping her connected with the ongoings in our life is difficult. I doubt she’s even heard of Facebook or Twitter.

If your family has a member like this, there is a great new solution. PostEgram is a quick and easy to create newsletter. Combine Facebook pictures with your statuses to make a full color layout that will keep the unconnected family member connected. Once you do the first setup, you can actually have PostEgram automatically send a newsletter once a month, twice a month or every week.

Find PostEgram on Facebook and Twitter

You can purchase your PostEgram subscription online with varying rates depending on frequency and discounts for volume purchases.

Laws of Illusion from Sarah McLachlan

Posted by: Holly | Comments (1)

Introducing Laws of Illusion

About Sarah McLachlan:

On June 15, 2010, the Grammy Award–winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan released Laws of Illusion. This is Sarah’s first studio album of new material in seven years, and its twelve songs rank with the most compelling work ever created by this gifted artist.

In the years between these two releases, Sarah has married, separated, and is raising two young daughters. These crucial life experiences have enriched her artistry and infused her new songs with the full range and complexity of adult emotions.

Our Thoughts

The soothing, soulful sounds of Sarah McLachlan are my go to music when things are rough around here. Many of her songs just speak to me. My only problem the last album that was released (Afterglow) seemed to be bad luck for me. Every time I put that CD in the car radio the car wound up totaled. NO Seriously. I bought a copy put in the car and the next day I flipped the car on black ice. 6 months later I finally replaced the CD put it in the car and was rear-ended.But enough about that. This new album does the same. I tend to find one song and focus on that for a few days  before moving to another favorite song. But with Laws of Illusion it would be hard for me to say just one song is the best. I love the words behind Forgiveness.
