Started by Holly Bartman as a way to provide children with personalized super hero capes, PowerCapes has become the #1 destination for authentic super hero wear for kids (and adults, too!)

Our Thoughts
Charlie is fascinated with super heros. Superman, batman, spiderman, super why and now in our house we have Super Charlie. We’ve tried some of the capes you can purchase at costume stores. The problem is in order to get the cape you have to purchase the whole outfit and really Charlie just wanted the cape. Add to that that the outfits are expensive. Charlie’s thoughts:
It’s FUN. I like the “C”. I like to pretend to be Superman with it.
Pros
- Fully customizable. Wide selection of colors for the cape, emblem and letter.
- Instead of a tie the cape is held on with a piece of velcro. This was one of our concerns with traditional capes.
- Washable. Seriously if your little hero is like ours they are liable to get dirty and being able to wash the cape is a huge plus!
Cons
- The capes are custom made for your desires. Because of this it does take a little longer to arrive BUT it is totally worth the extra day or two wait.

I am not kidding – i want one of these for myself – How fun would that be to have a cape! Love it!
D got one of these capes as a birthday party party gift! It’s amazing! BUT… the boys constantly fight over it and since it has a big ‘D’ on in they both think it’s for them! I would love to have another one for ‘little d’. The one we have now is blue and gold, just like Charlie’s, so I would want another one just like that one!
