Introducing Klutz Glossy Bands
About Glossy Bands: Stretchy Bracelets to Share with Your Friends
Amazing bracelets you squeeze out of a tube. When we first showed Glossy Bands to girls, it was clear we had a winner. They put the bracelets on and admired the colorful designs. They stretched the bracelets to take them off and watched as they shrank back to their original size. They put the bracelets back on, and that’s when things got sticky. Clearly, we were not going to get these bracelets back. Glossy Bands start as a special, non-toxic, acrylic paint. To make one, simply squeeze out dots of color following one of the patterns in the book. Then use the swirling stick to mix the color into fancy designs. Once it’s dry, peel your bracelet up and wrap it around your wrist. You’ve made your first Glossy Band: a beautiful, durable, completely wearable work of art. Chances are good that you’ve never seen anything quite like a Glossy Band. We think this book is going to change that. Once word gets around how easy it is to make these deliciously shiny, irresistibly stretchy bracelets, you’re going to start seeing them everywhere.
Our Thoughts
I love Klutz because there is always something new and crafty to do. So I was excited to see the Klutz Glossy Bands. As a kid we used to play with puffy paint and make all kinds of shirts. I can vividly remember my cousin and I trying to do shirts on the back deck. We couldn’t get the paints open so my cousin set the paint on the ground and stomped as hard as she could. Imagine my parents surprise when they found pink and orange puffy paint all over the back of the house.
Seeing the Klutz Glossy Bands brought the memory back and I kidnapped that same Cousin’s daughter for the day. We had fun making different designs. In true Klutz fashion, the book has very detailed step by step instructions for making the bracelets. We tried a few different designs and really had fun. The Glossy band paint is different from the old time puffy paint in that it did not close off the tube. I’m sure any girl would have fun making different designs for their bracelets.
