Did anyone else watch The View today? I love that they had E. D. Hill as their guest. For anyone who doesn’t know who E. D. Hill is a journalist for Fox news. In February E. D. Hill underwent a double mastectomy as a preventative measurement for breast cancer. Her mother and sister have both already had breast cancer so Ms. Hill’s chances of having breast cancer increased dramatically. The ladies discussed the process of reconstruction surgery. I always thought it was interesting to watch a patient learn how the reconstruction takes place. (Yes I used to work for a surgeon and I was always in the room with his female patients so I heard about this all too often.) They place an expander in and slowly expand the skin until it has stretched enough to allow the implant to be placed properly. Since our family has a strong history of breast cancer I’ve always been on edge about what the future brings. Whoopie brought up that scientists are on the verge of a breakthrough with a vaccine that could eliminate breast cancer in the future.
The ladies also hosted Train. Now I love Train’s music but I would love to have seen the girls tell us the truth. From what I’ve heard their songs are awesome on CD/MP3 but live their music isn’t all that great.
Have you watched The View lately? Who is your favorite host? Who can you just not stand?

I have a friend that is 30 yrs old and is going thru this as we speak. She just finished her kemo and thruout the process they have been putting expanders under her skin…Then they will be putting implants in. At this point she was trying to save her nipples but one still has cancer in it so they will have to remove this. They are going to tattoo nipples on to make it look somewhat natrual.
I find it to be very interesting also. I sure hope they have a vaccine because I’m apart of your family which means I may be at risk too, as well as our daughters. I hope that we will never have to go thru that in our lifetime. Great post in also very interesting. :0)
