The View and WSJ

The Ladies of The ViewDid you see the article in the WSJ about The View? Go take a minute to read it, I’ll wait.

What are your thoughts? Tons of political figures “taking time to enjoy the view”, right? I have to say I love watching when the ladies are discussing politics in any form. It always get so heated. Friday the ladies were discussing the oil spill and inevitably the discussion turned to President Obama and whether or not he was doing a good job. The ongoing theme over the past couple of weeks has actually been whether or not President Obama should be more heated over the disaster. But my beef is when Elizabeth compared the disaster of Hurricane Katrina to the oil spill. Seriously these are two completely different incidents. There is no comparison in any way. Sheri brought up an excellent point in that part of the problem with Katrina could have been very easily fixed. The biggest issue was getting the people out of New Orleans. Now after the town was flooded, arrangements could have been made to air lift people out of the Superdome as well as drop fresh water in. Trying to stop the flow of oil into the ocean is so completely different to actually suggest these are anywhere near the same is ridiculous.

What are your thoughts? Can we compare the two Presidents in two so different incidents?
