Back to My Childhood with Country Time Lemonade
A little history from Country Time Lemonade:
1976 — Country Time lemonade flavor drink mix is born! Our very first spokesperson is Grandpa, the best judge of good old fashioned taste.
1977 — Country Time introduces a new flavor – pink lemonade.
1989 to 1996 — Country Time sponsors a NASCAR car.
1990 — Country Time powdered iced tea mix appears in Canada for the first time.
1994 — The canister for Country Time drink mix gets revitalized! The new recyclable plastic container is easier to hold.
1996 — Country Time brings together the taste of ripe country berries and good old-fashioned lemonade in its new flavors: Raspberry Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade.
1998 — Country Time adds a new flavor to the mix! Lemonade Iced Tea drink mix is introduced, combining good old-fashioned lemonade and iced tea. Grandpa would be proud!
2006 — Country Time On The Go is introduced, making it even easier to enjoy a great glass of lemonade – anytime, anywhere.
2007 — Country Time Lite Lemonade and Lite Pink Lemonade are first introduced, with ½ the sugar of regular Country Time and only 35 calories per serving. A lite way to enjoy your favorite summer drink!
Our Thoughts
I will never forget summers as a kid and the best drink was Country Time Lemonade. My best friend and I would mix a couple of big pitchers and set up shop on the corner. Our goal to sell as much Lemonade as we could. Over the course of a week would usually raise enough money to order a pizza. That was the big treat for us.
I’m so happy to be able to share these kind of ideas with my kids. The only problem? I can’t keep enough of the lemonade in the pitcher to actually hold a lemonade sale. I’m happy to say that the kids are turning to the Country Time Lemonade over the juice boxes which really saves on my wallet.
The best part is that Country Time Lemonade has teamed up with Alex’s Lemonade stand to help raise money for pediatric cancer research. Hop over there and see what greatness is evolving!
