Rounder Records 40th Anniversary Concert

You may find this hard to believe but we love music. (Yeah I know I’ve told you all about my music fascination before. It was sarcasm people.) Music growing up was the one thing I could always turn to. I take the words to heart. Easy to do since most of the times that’s where they started from. I find a song that speaks to me and the lyrics come alive. A musician that can do this will automatically become a favorite of mine. One of the best musicians in my opinion is Alison Kraus. When she combines with Union Station she has a soulful, yearning sound that chills me to the spine.

I heard about Rounder Records 40th Anniversary Concert CD and I was excited to hear all the songs. There are some favorites of mine from Mary Chapin Carpenter (He thinks he’ll keep her) and new ones from Minnie Driver (Beloved). The music on the Rounder Records 40th Anniversary Concert CD is far and above my new favorite CD. Steve borrowed for his drive to work and let a few of his co-workers take a listen and I’m proud to say they have bought their own copies.
