We went there this weekend for Mother's day and had the best waiter ever! So easy going and didn't once flinch at the multiple crazy request from our table. Our Outback on the other hand has just really gone down hill which stinks as they're one of 3 eateries in the area. So funny you mentioned Carrabas. Our area was hit hard with the economic down-turn but the customer service has definitely gone down too. I keep saying if you don't want to be nice to the customer you don't have to work. I'm with you, I don't want to hear it mooing. We've had pretty good service at the restaurants where I live. We did have to wait over an hour one time at Applebees though. Going out to eat is supposed to be 'special' and it is certainly harder to take kids with you. This happens all the time here...there is such a shortage of staff everywhere that you always end up with some punk who really doesn't care about his job serving you. I haven't had a good meal out in ages :( And I'm not picky either...but yeah, medium well is not RARE. My oldest daughter is turning 22 and it looks like the high chair/booster seat issue is still the same after over 20 years! Same old, same old.
