Cover Mates are a stretch to fit cover for your food storage needs.

But does it really do that? Will the Cover Mates fit any shape bowl and keep food fresh? We put the Cover Mates to the test with a bowl of popcorn. Trying to get popcorn to last is rather hard. (Mostly because the kids eat it all.) It tends to go stale rather quickly when left to the open air. We popped ourselves a bowl of popcorn and placed a medium sized Cover Mate over the bowl and let it sit. At 24 hours, the popcorn was still fresh and tasting great. At 48 hours it was starting to taste a little more on the stale side but it wasn’t horrible tasting. I would tell you what it was like at 72 hours but the kids finished it before then.
My opinion is that it Cover Mates do in fact keep food fresh. I love that I can cover any bowl we have. I will warn though that this is not leak proof.

I always seem to loose lids or my favorite bowl doesn’t come with one. these may work for me.
