If you’ve read some of our posts, you know that we love music in this house. I’d rather them be playing with music in the background than vegging in front of the TV. Anytime I’m asked to review a children’s CD I jump at the chance. The problem is much of the music becomes grating. You can only listen to so much I Love you, you love me before you have to turn it off. While I can take it for a few weeks after a month or so I need some time alone in the car blaring MY music.

Rock Rhythm and Rhyme has a solution for this. Their music is all performed by family and it really does rock. The songs on their first CD are focused on colors. The tunes are upbeat, catchy and do the most fabulous thing. The songs teach children how to spell the color word while associating the color with items from a preschooler’s life. The orange song starts by talking about snacking on goldfish. Charlie has really enjoyed rocking out to the color songs.

This is a true family venture which is another plus in our book. The CD cover artist is also in the family.
