Do you know what today is? National Napping day. I’m thinking of calling off work just to snuggle and nap. Think my boss would mind? Unfortunately I think she would. It’s a perfect day to celebrate since many of us are tired from the change in the clocks yesterday.
For centuries nappers have awoken to fantastic ideas that changed the world. These nappers have included Lord Byron, Leonardo Da Vinci and Thomas Edison, with their ideas changing the world in the arts, literature and sciences. Studies show that napping can rejuevenate the mind, bolster health and creativity.

Definitely not soft and comfy but that was the only quiet place he could find.

Oh. My. GOSH! How did I not know that it was National Napping Day?! This is totally my holiday, and I can’t celebrate it in the proper manner becasue I’m stuck at work. I’m putting it on the calendar for next year–I’ll take the day off to celebrate appropriately!

This is now my favorite day of the year. i love to nap (when I get a chance). The best place I’ve ever taken a nap was under my desk at work. Best nap ever.

My funniest place to nap would have to be next to my girls shoes closet. My little one loves shoes and often falls asleep by the shoe closet and mom has been known to lye down with her and share in the bliss!
The Hawaii airport…or maybe the Bangkok airport…both times sprawled on top of my luggage.

This may not be the funniest place to nap, but it may have been the most embarassing. I was on a long flight, tired and decided to just close my eyes for a feww minutes….well, when I woke up I had my head on my seat mate’s shoulder and my arm around him, ugh! I looked up into this handsome man’s face and apologized…he just smiled and indicated he was ok with it….a true gentleman.

The funniest place to nap would be the cemetery, my friend works next door to one and it’s a very peaceful place to sleep.
The funniest place I ever took a nap was the dressing room at the department store. *******
When I was a child I fell asleep in church once, which isn’t so funny. The funny part was that I wasn’t sitting with my parents so when I layed down on the seat they didn’t see me. The went home in separate cars and both thought I was with the other parent. My mom woke me up some time later and the church was dark. Good thing I didn’t wake up on my own. That would have been scary, but now I think it’s funny that they left me at church.
Was driving 12 hours to my sisters house got there went in said hi to everyone followed my sister into her room we in our fortys she wanted to show me something i was sitting on her bed listening to her talk and wham went right to sleep.

My daughter was about 3-4 when she was standing on the kitchen chair and eating cheese and veggies when I went to grab some more paper towels. When I came out her butt was sticking up in the air and her face on the plate sound asleep. Sooo cute.
The funniest place I took a nap was while in a class at college. Of course I was really sick, had just taken a cold pill(which always knock me out). I was snoring really loudly because I was so congested. The professor didn’t find it funny,though.
I spend alot of time on the computer (I know, shocking isn’t it? lol) and have on more than one occasion said I’ll just rest my head for a minute on the desk, and then an hour or so later I’d be waking up from an unintended nap.
Hmmm…my funniest place to nap…was probably in high school. Senior year…8th period…last class of the day…Economics. Fell asleep with my head on my desk…and my teacher walked back….OOPS!!!!

I once took a nap in a bar/nightclub. I was so tired from traveling that I layed down on a bench and had my sister and friend keep a watch while I napped for about 20 minutes.
I fell asleep in my plate of food at chow time, after a 15 mile hike carrying a rifle, and 22 pounds of gear on my back. This was during my basic training in the Air Force. After 26 years of service I retired last year. But whenever I get together with my old buddies, they never let me forget the time I napped and snored in my grub.
I think the funniest place I have napped would be my desk at work.

I usually only nap in bed- maybe the couch.
What is funny is how I used to get the kids to let me (after they were older). They would ALWAYS need me if I was napping, but if I told them I was meditating they would leave me alone for some reason. Now the joke is “Shhh mom is meditating” whenever I go to lay down.

We were hiking in Kolob canyon in Utah. I was so tired that when I came to a grassy spot I thought I would just sit for a few minutes and rest. Soon I was laying down and I woke up about an hour later, feeling much rested and ready to resume the hike.

The funniest place I ever took a nap is in the closet – it was storming with threats of tornados and so to the closet in the hall I dutifully went. I woke up two hours later and the storm had passed.
My funniest place to nap is probably my car! When I take my daughter to her activities, I end up waiting… and when I haven’t gotten enough sleep, I nap while waiting.
Ok my funniest place to nap was Yoga class. After being all blissed out, I zonked out right there on my yoga mat on the bamboo floor of my yoga studio!BEST nap EVER!!!

I’ve taken my naps in the car while on trips, on the floor with grandkids,on the davenport but my favorite place is in my bed.
I recently took a nap with the dogs on their dog beds–may I should start using flea and tick spray, too.
