#BloggyBootCamp and Best Friends

Have you noticed the bling over on the side? I’m heading tomorrow to Bloggy Boot Camp. I’ve been looking for an intimate conference that won’t overwhelm my shy self. And Bloggy Boot Camp seems to be the perfect fit. Small groups of bloggers learning in sessions. Each session has assigned seating so that everyone meets everyone. Sounds fantastic to me.

I had a small problem though. I really wanted to go to the dinner Friday night. The conference/dinner is in Baltimore so not very far but I was worried about the late night/early morning. That’s when I made the call. See we live about 2 hours from the hotel and with dinner at 7:30 I was worried I’d have a problem getting home and then getting back up so early the next day. I just can’t justify the cost of a hotel room for one night. So I called my best friend. She lives much closer and I knew that she would have a couch for me.

Of course she said yes. And then the excitement started. Where was I going to sleep? Did I need anything special to eat/drink? I feel like a 6 year old getting ready for my first sleep over. Deb and I have gone through a lot together as friends. We’ve had 5 children (Sorry Deb I am not going to make it even.), and all the trials of getting pregnant with them, we’ve gone through some losses in our families. Deb and her hubby are Rachael’s godparents and while we haven’t updated our will yet if something happens to both Steve and I they will be the proud parents of 5 instead of 3.

Deb is the one I call when the walls are crumbling and the one I call when things are at their highest. Thank you for being the best friend a girl could ask for.

So I’m heading to Bloggy Boot Camp tomorrow but I also get some fabulous time with my dearest friend and my excitement is overwhelming. Is it Friday yet?
