We’ve received yet again more snow. December 19 we woke up to over a foot of snow. January 6 another 4 inches. This weekend we got hit by another 10 inches. Last night another 4. Can we get a break here? For pete’s sake we live in southern Maryland not Michigan. OK so I’m exaggerating but seriously it’s cold people. If this keeps up we’re going to have to do some fixing up around here. There seems to be air leaking through the exterior doors at the front and side of the house. The cold runs across your feet when you walk past and is really getting to me.
The cold doesn’t only come in through the doors its coming in the windows too. My office is always cold. I have a little space heater in there to get the room back up to 70. So I would like to get some vinyl replacement windows for there. If we have to replace the doors and windows, we might as well consider getting some new vinyl siding. We’ve had some pretty wicked ice included in with the snow as well as some whipping windstorms. We have one particular piece of siding that has fallen off three or four times. My brother-in-law has had to come over and fix it.
We’re also going to have to discuss fixing the neighbors fence with her. The plow guy came to plow the driveway Saturday and slipped right through her fence. He was kind enough to put the main fence piece back up but the whole fence is still leaning. I know it’s not really our fault buy I feel bad that she’s going to have to do more work on the fence. Not sure if you can really tell in the picture but its definitely leaning away from our house.
