Let me start by saying in no way shape or form do I condone Dr. Bradley for what he did. He is the lowest scum of the earth. To harm anyone is horrific but steal a child’s innocence is, well lets just say Dr. Bradley there is a special place in hell for people like you. The good news: You’ll hopefully have plenty of time to learn about because from what I understand there’s also a special place for you in jail.
But I have a question. Where in the world where these parents? I have read the articles, seen the news reports. I fully understand that many of these patients were from low income homes and I’m sure a good portion of them were children of younger parents but where were they? Not once has either of our children ever been seen by a physician without me or Steve in the room. And unless we are in an accident of some sort and we physically are not able to be, they will never be seen without one of us until they are of legal age. Now I could see this if the children involved were in their teens but the investigation was started on the words of a 2-year-old child. Where was this child’s parents? If you’re old enough to have had a child you know that it is not common for a child to be seen without a parent there. For Pete’s sake a few weeks ago Steve had to take off work in order to go with Rachael to the pediatrician’s because 1) I could not take off work and 2) the doctor’s office refused to let a family member bring her in. This appointment was just to get a referral. Rachael wasn’t even examined.
Please don’t blame it on the low income/young parent circumstances. I have several friends and know several other women who were low income parents and had their children young. We’ve talked about the situation and they too can’t fathom their child being seen without a parent or adult there.
Am I wrong? Has your child been seen in the doctor’s office without a parent there?

This was my very first thought and question. I think the only thing that makes sense is what you said, the parents may have been young themselves. Still, it was going on for years and the fact that not one parent said no boggles my mind. I have never left my daughter in a doctor’s office and would never ever allow her to be alone with anyone in a closed room other then a very trusted person or my husband. I’m just floored not that it happened but that it happened to so many children! So scary!
