To my daily visitors: Was there something I’m missing on a recent episode? Since all of the knitting club stuff went down I have stopped listening to the Lime and Violet Podcast. But now I’m curious. I have gotten 20 hits in the past 24 hours from google searching for “Lime and Violet Divorce” Did she decide to say she was leaving again?
Has there been another plea for money? Or are people finally just wisening up to this shady ordeal and looking for the truth elsewhere?

I would like to think people are wisening up…. but its more than likely another ploy for money
I agree. People may not be discussing it as publicly as before, but there is still quite the buzz about Miss V and her indiscretions. I think people are still learning about Eliza’s past actions and are probably just doing some online detective work to find out more.
Hopefully word will continue to spread and there won’t be any more victims.
I haven’t seen anything anywhere. It appears the whole thing has just blown over. Now more people are getting involved in her new projects and they probably have no idea what happened before. Even the IY thread at ravelry is quiet. Does that mean they all got their stuff and everyone is happy, and people should know Eliza kept her word in the end?
I think people are quiet because she was able to weed out all the customers that refused to take her garbage and replaced them with her kool-aid drinking followers. She encouraged her “friends” to buy out people’s memberships so she could get rid of those who weren’t willing to accept her excuses and lack of service. I’d expect it to be much quieter now since most of the club members are brand new and/or are friends of Eliza’s and therefore haven’t dealt with the 11 months of crap the original club members dealt with.
Just in case anyone reading this is waiting on a package, the international orders all went to the wrong countries, or were not shipped because the dates in the database were entered as 20010 instead of 2010.
Well, isn’t that convenient?
Sorry, but that is the biggest bunch of crap I’ve ever heard. It’s awfully convenient, and why haven’t the international members been told this on the IY message board instead of having someone post this on a blog and asking to get the word out?
Eliza is in front of the computer CONSTANTLY. It’s not like she’s netless and doesn’t know how to reach her customers. Every single one of the international members deserves a personal email to let them know the situation.
Of course, this won’t happen, because it’s all a huge fabrication as usual.
Tinna, that comment wasn’t directed at you as if you were told to post – it’s just a general frustration with the whole situation.
I understand. This whole thing is terribly frustrating. And just when you think it might be okay, there’s more.
Could someone please pass this along to the club and ravelry group members?
Are you sure that this info is SUPPOSED to go out to the club and the group members? If so, shy wouldn´t Miss violet post anything herself?
She should, but who knows when, or if, she will? Don’t you think they deserve at least some sort of update, rather than waiting for the mail everyday on a package that’s not arriving?
I agree, I think the members of that club deserves a good explanation of what has happened. But they should have gotten it from the creator of the club, and as soon as she knew something was wrong. She hasn´t given that, and this is what bothers me about her as a person. She is treating paying customers like dirt.
Obviously the info is getting to SOME club members.
You must not know Eliza then! lol
This is her method of operation. She never contacts them directly or provide them with any updates or information. She’ll post on plurk for her buddies to read but she won’t bother to answer anyones emails or message board posts. They just get deleted and left hanging. It’s been that way for over a year. It’s nothing new. If her customers want to know where their merchandise is they have to put on their detective hats and go searching on her private plurks and tweets and find out what’s going on. No way will she actually contact them directly with the info. Oh, and don’t let her know you’ve read her private plurks. She’s quick to block and delete her “moles” that are only trying to get information. Shame on those pesky whining customers for wanting to know what’s going on with the stuff they paid for over a year ago! Shame on “Teh Crazy” people for attacking sweet innocent Eliza.
no divorce in the works, so says the “puppet.”
Probably for the best considering how hard it would be to decide who would get custody of the puppet. I suppose they could share control of her but then her strings would get all tangled up. Too messy!
So, if the “puppet” can find her way here to answer questions, why can’t the international members get an answer on where their packages are?
I saw your post on ravelry. I think what needs to happen now is probably the only thing left to do, and that is report her to the ftc or someone else because this is fraud. She’s not just getting away with taking money from people, she’s committing a crime. I’m sad that people are not only too scared to post publicly about this, but are also too afraid or intimidated to actually do anything about this. Warning everyone and hoping people won’t fall victim isn’t going to work. She’s going to keep doing this until she’s stopped, and posts on the internet aren’t going to do that.
Another suggestion is to email retailers who carry Lime & Violet and Intentions Yarn in their stores and make them aware of this situation. They may not be aware of what has taken place with the club and not following through with her obligations, the money grabs, the illegal raffle, tax evasion, etc… and they may not want to associate their business with Violet/Eliza. Selling products created by someone who has acted so unethically doesn’t reflect well on any business.
I know of two online stores that either do sell Intentions Yarn or have sold it in the past. They are http://www.theloopyewe.com and http://www.sonnyandshear.com. You can email Kris@sonnyandshear.com and support@theloopyewe.com and let them know what has taken place and about what kind of person they’re associating themselves with. Let them know that you want to support the indie yarn dyers who are ethical and responsible!
If anyone else knows of other yarn stores that sell Eliza’s yarn, please post it here so we can all contact them too. It can be either local yarn stores or online stores. The more they hear from us the better!
Did you get in touch with any of them?
How very interesting. The LimeNViolet Ravelry group is being disbanded in favor of the “new” message boards over at limenviolet.com/talk. Now she won’t have to play by rules & can delete those posts that show her true colors. Someone must have gotten to her since she dumped a bunch of posts on the Rav group that showed up after she made her big “announcement”. How very Eliza …”I’m taking my toys & going home”.
Oh, and there’s a shill over on the Intentions Yarn Ravelry group. Look around…you’ll find her. Amazing.
Wow, that’s a pretty drastic move and I don’t believe for a second it was brought on by anything other than what has happened with the yarn club and the BPAL debacle. She needs to control everything and Rav didn’t let her have that.
I guess she needs a more sympathetic audience for her drama filled existence, and to fill everyone in on the minutia of her life.
Oh well, good riddance to bad rubbish.
This is very interesting. She’s stooped to bribery for good reviews.

CONTEST! Bribes For Adoration.

As some of you know, there has been some nasty backtalk going on here and there — some of it from people who *don’t even listen to the show*.
Go figure, right?
Anyway, one of the slimeballs’ tactics to “hurt” us has been to leave rude one-star reviews on iTunes. (I don’t read the itunes reviews, and haven’t for a good two years or more, but I hear they’re there.)
So, in an effort to have the REAL listeners have a voice, we’re running a little contest!
Leave us a four or five star review on iTunes, and post it here in the “reviews” thread (which isn’t there yet, but will be, under the chit-chat and macchiatos header), and at the end of the month, we’ll draw a random name of a reviewer and send them YARN from Lime and Violet’s *personal stash*.
Because we all need more yarn, right? Ahem. This is *good* yarn, though. Yum.
We may also quote you over on the site or on the show, if you’re particularly witty or erudite. Fair warning.
Happy 100th episode everybody!

Here’s the thing dearie – we do or did listen to the podcast and found your money-grabbing and conceit distasteful and said so. It’s pathetic that you have to bribe people to put positive reviews out there and you can’t handle the criticism or the truth.
Something tells me that itunes wouldn’t take too kindly to a podcaster using bribery to get good reviews? Anyone got an email address for itunes? I think they need to know about this.
Doesn’t surprise me one bit that Eliza is leaving Rav. She’s a control freak. She doesn’t want to own up to her actions and can’t deal with people wanting answers and explanations from her. She’s like a child. She can’t handle the playground with the other kids so she stays in her room where it’s safe. This way she can ban people, delete posts and create her own little message board world and avoid the truth. Again she only ever posts on groups she moderates or social media sites where she can block people. Much easier to run and hide than fess up to your actions. She’s so transparent and pathetic.
The best way to contact them about this is probably click on the “Report a concern” link (Links menu on the side) on the podcast’s itunes page. I wonder if this is something they’d consider a concern? Is it not allowed? Discouraged?
Everyone can write reviews over on Podcastally.com also. This is the link http://www.podcastalley.com/podcast_details.php?pod_id=32165
I would also suggest that everyone contacts Itunes. It can´t be legal to ask for a 4 or 5 star review?
Fresh quote from Plurk ” you know if V did anything asking for money that the psychofreaks would come out of the woodwork raising holy hell. *sigh*
missviolet mehs. The psychofreaks can bite me. They’re not invited to the fun stuff anymore anyway.”
- Loving the attitude! Is this the way to refer to your (former) paying customers?
Have you all seen this? Anyone know the Crafty Chica?

The Lime & Violet “empire” is no more:
http://limenviolet.com/
She shut it all down, including deleting the Rav Zgroup, the new message boards she set up AND the podcast. Gone. Poof. Guess the heat in her kitchen got too much.
She mentions death threats, FBI and all sorts of her normal nonsense. Her minions actually believe her. The fauning being done over on plurk is disgusting:
http://www.plurk.com/missviolet
All this from a 38 year old woman. I gotta laugh…this is primo drama. I feel an urge to make some popcorn, dim the lights and watch the ongoing saga.
Talk about running away. Guess she couldn’t face the truth and like a 3-year-old, threw a tantrum and left.
I see that she’s pretty much erased all traces of “miss Violet” including her facebook and plurk.
Death threats and the FBI – my ass. I don’t believe a word of it. Drama, meet your queen.
It appears she has taken the knit community for all the money she can and is moving on to new pastures. A mighty fine grifter she is–never outstays her welcome. She’ll turn up again, and maybe next time she’ll get caught for good.
Yall convinced me that she is dirty. It didn’t sit well with me that she had “40k listeners” and just took everything down. So I did research…. you know her blog is the modern gypsy. She truly does live up to that image.
She has a new blog entry up and she is selling yarn. You would think she would lay low for a while. But I guess with her new theme of “the phoenix” she has already risen from the ashes of her yarny empire. Too bad she burned a lot of people on the way.
I was not a member of the yarn club but I did place an order for perfume that was allegedly resent- but to this day, nothing. I am really disappointed because I was a listener from the beginning and a fan and it is not like I can place orders overseas all the time. Because of it all I did not really listen to the podcast a lot this spring and most of the drama I missed.
But now I see I was not the only one……
I tried paypal but of course by the time even the resent package could have arrived….. the time for getting a refund was over.
Hi. I am new to listening to podcasts. One of them mentioned “Lime and Violet”, so I tried to find the podcasts. No luck. As you know why. I did find posts concerning the above topics.
If you go to the lime and violet web page, they are coming back.
They are back
http://www.limenviolet.com/reloaded/join/
for $5 a month.
But can’t find any information on how good they are or if they are even doing the podcast.
