FlipSwap
Posted by: | CommentsWe recently upgraded our cell phones. We came home and found that we had quite a stockpile of old cell phones but what do we do with them? Now we get a pretty good discount through our cell provider so we don’t have a need to trade in cell phone. I was recently turned on to Flipswap. A great eco-friendly way to deal with our stockpile of old phones. I’m getting ready to use their easy process to make a cell phone donation. I really like the idea that our phones can be recycled for charity use.
If you aren’t able to get a great phone for a great price through your provider you can also seek a cell phone trade in. This is where you can either cell or trade in your old phone for cash. If your phone is on the rather older side it may not be able to be recycled. Instead Flipswap will plant a tree in exchange for your phone. A pretty great way to keep our earth a little greener.
So when you’re ready for your new phone make sure you look into cell phone recycling, save some money and save the earth.
Home Remodeling

As the housing market is in the toilets many of us are deciding to improve our homes by remodeling. I would love to look into some home remodeling estimates.
I would love to remodel our kitchen/dining room area. The layout is horrific. There is no real flow to the areas at all. My choice would be to completely rip out the kitchen/dining area and make one big homestyle kitchen. A kitchen like my mom’s in North Carolina. Where there is enough space for all of us to cook together, eat together and work/play together. Right now we can barely have two of us in the kitchen at the same time.
It would be nice to do some other work too. I’d like to improve our heating and air conditioning by getting some custom replacement windows. Our windows now leak air. I’ve tried using the foam to seal them off but that only lasts for one season because as soon as you start opening the windows in the spring the foam gets ruined and you have to replace it. I’d really like the windows that can fold inside for easy cleaning. Oh to not have to use a brush and handles to try and clean the windows would be nice.
Now our neighbors could use some help with their roof. They’ve been looking into a roof repair service but haven’t found the right one yet.
What would you like to do?
