You’re invited! Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect.com will celebrate winter mommies-to-be with a virtual online baby shower on Dec. 16th. Led by The Shower Diva, Susan Newton, participants in the show will enjoy online games, tons of prizes, great advice and meet new friends along the way. The Dec. 16 online celebration marks the first of several seasonal ParentsConnect baby showers, so those mommies-to-be who aren’t quite due will have a chance to participate.
In the virtual online baby shower, ParentsConnect and the participants post online baby-themed games, tons of prizes, advice, and more every half hour all day long. A custom digital invite will be available to send to friends who might want to join.
In recent years, weddings, sleepovers and even funerals have exploded in the virtual world. Earlier this month, American Idol Winner, Jordin Sparks, hosted an online virtual sleepover with BeingGirl.com and, although not legally binding, Web site VirtualVow.com offers online proposal, engagements and wedding services. Other sites like funeralrecording.com and funeralone.com allow mourning over one’s loss to happen at the computer too.
