I have been over the moon excited about going to the Type-A Mom Conference. It’s a break from work/kids/home all of it. My only problem was what to wear. Now the director of the conference said dress code was whatever, just as long as we were comfy. But I want to at least try to put out a good impression. I will be meeting some lovely people that I have worked with over the past year. My problem was what to wear.
Well the choice was hard. As a work at home mom I really don’t spend money on my clothing. I have some nice jeans and shirts but nothing more of a business/business casual type. Luckily for me I knew where to turn. I was offered a sponsorship from Lane Bryant.
This weekend my best friend and I headed out to the Lane Bryant store in Glen Burnie. We had a fantastic time trying on clothes and deciding what I should wear. The manager, Brittany was so helpful but not in your face helpful. I tried on a little black dress which I loved except I have a love hate relationship with my bare arms. Brittany knew exactly what I should try and grabbed one for me. The Cinched Collar Shrug was exactly what I needed. While I loved that dress it wasn’t the one. But the Shrug was part of the final dress ensemble that I will be wearing to dinner at Bistro 1869.
Because one of the new fashions is long over skinny I tried on the flutter sleeve tunic over some leggings and fell in love. The other saleswoman had this same tunic on but over a pair of jeans and it still looked fabulous. This was a definite in my book.
So what will you be wearing this fall?
