Every Wear

logoWhen Charlie was born I ordered a sling. I wanted to be able to carry him whereever I went. I wanted him close. I loved the sling. When Rachael was born I updated the old sling by adding a pink eyelet pocket. Only problem Rachael hated the sling. I missed the ease of placing her in the sling and walking. The stroller is a pain to load and unload out of the car when all we’re doing is heading into a store for a matter of moments. Especially now that Rachael is walking/climbing. She hates to sit in carts and because all they have is a simple waist belt 100_0373she climbs out. So I started searching I found a few carriers and we headed off to Babies R Us to look at them. The problem none of them had all the features we needed.

We have no secrets about our sizes. Steve and I are definitely plus size. So we needed a carrier that would fit us easily. I wanted something that had a small pocket to place keys/cell phone in. Steve wanted one that could be used in more then one position. Finally after doing some research I found the Every Wear from lillebaby. It holds babies from 5 lbs to25 lbs in the front inward facing carry. Smaller babies will need the infant cradle and harness. Then it converts to a front outward facing carry for children up to 25 pounds, once they are able to support their head. But the best part it then can convert to a hip and back carry for children up to 43 pounds. I can actually carry Charlie in it. (I haven’t had a chance to do that yet.)

So we received one to review and I had ordered the extension clips for the waist band. (We’re both fairly big but only needed one clip.) Once they both arrived we headed off to the mall. We had promised Charlie he could go to Dave and Buster’s as celebration for keeping his pants dry all week. The only problem is Dave and Buster’s is usually pretty crowded and its hard to push a stroller (let alone a double stroller) through. So we hooked Steve up with Rachael. We were there for over 2 hours, went to eat lunch (Rach did come out of the carrier while we ate though.) and back in to play the last of our tokens and decide on a little trinket to bring home.

PROS:

  • Varying carries
  • Multiple colors (red, black, cocoa, latte)
  • Holds higher weights
  • Adjustable in size
  • Luxurious fabrics

CONS

  • Rachael did get rather hot but I believe that is more to do with the furnace that was carrying her.
  • It was difficult to put Rachael in the back carry by myself but I think that has to do with my size.

Doesn’t Rach look happy? She really loved the Every Wear. Looking for a little different of a carrier? Something that has multiple uses? Check out the Eurotote.
