Trying to find a decent bowl and spoon for Rachael has been hard. Most of the spoons have the flat handles and small fingers just can’t hold on to them. The bowls seem to go flying cause there is no weight to them.
Thankfully we were given a Baby Dipper bowl and spoon set to try.
Features:
- Spoon fits in lower corner of bowl
- Contoured interior guides food to spoon
- Non-slip base helps prevent sliding
- Transparent sides allow easy viewing of food
- Phthalate-free and lead-free
(see FAQ for more info)
OUR TAKE
PROS:
- The spoon easily fits Rachael’s hands.
- The contour of the bowl makes it easy to fill the spoon and Rachael is working on doing this herself.
- The base means its hard for Rachael to move the bowl around the high chair tray.
CONS:
- It would be great to have a lid for the bowl. Rachael doesn’t often eat a whole bowl of food at one sitting.
- Having a slightly higher edge for the lower portion of the bowl would be helpful for removing excess food from the spoon.

I really liked the boon bowls, but not the spoons or sporks much. The only down side is that the “drip catcher” can act as a catapult in the wrong hands.
