Easter Morning

DSC_0003 We got up bright and early Easter morning to find that the Easter bunny had visited. He left Rach a small basket with a Little People set and Charlie got a new soccer and basketball. We DSC_0004gather some clothes to put on and then headed to the kitchen to cook our breakfast. Daddy was already at work and missed the fun. Charlie always wants to help so he grabbed his chair and away we went.

We had discussed all day on Saturday that we were going to be making pancakes. Normally Charlie gets DSC_0005the mini frozen pancakes because they take 30 seconds in the microwave and its a quick meal with a banana before he leaves for preschool. Now I have made him fresh pancakes but it DSC_0007 doesn’t happen every week. So this was a big deal. Add into that mommy was going to make Easter bunny pancakes. They looked a little worse for wear but Charlie thought they were great.

After breakfast we spent some time outside. We of course had to DSC_0008test out the new balls and Rach just loves swinging. We then had some lunch a short nap and were off to MiMi and PopPop’s house where we had a fabulous dinner of meatloaf, carrots, fresh asparagus, and homemade au gratin potatoes. YUMM
