Zowie – that’s one neat looking spindle. My favorite spindle, with a cocobolo whorl, is slowly dying. I used to take him on walks and dropped him a fair amount of times. Not that I’d ever get rid of him, but I would like another companion for my walks!
I’m just learning to spin, and the spindle I have is very lightweight – I’d like a new spindle so that I could try spinning with a heavier spindle.
I’m just learning to spin. Didn’t even know there is a difference in spindles and there weight. Hmmm, why is that? Does it make the yarn thinner? Its so funny because I clicked follow you before I read that there was even a contest!:)
Just posted on my facebook. I’m Dawn Wolfe on there.
Just mentioned you on my twitter where I am knittinwolf! My plurk isn’t working…weird!
What an ingenious way to have 1 spindle with many weights! And it’s pretty too (as you pointed out). I don’t have a spindle that pretty…that’s my reason to enter the contest
Wow! Cool spindle! I’d love to add another spindle to my collection. I’d love a heavier spindle to relearn to spin singles heavier than lace weight (my little stone whorls have me spinning cobwebs!).
I knit, and have a friend who spins me the most beautiful yarns. This would be a perfect opportunity to give it a whirl myself!
