Therapy Issues

According to Charlie’s IEP he was to start therapy at the elementary school on January 7th. They didn’t call until the 7th to schedule his appts. No problem I let it slide. So Monday we talked all about going to school. Took Steve for his eye appt an hour away and rushed home so I could get some work done before taking Charlie to SCHOOL. Get home and they’ve called at 12 to cancel his appt. His appt that was to be at 2. I’m a little peeved but hey what can I do. As I’m sitting here working I realize Monday is a holiday. Guess what no therapy again. Then I look and it looks like schools will be closed on Tuesday for students but open for staff development. So any guesses? Will I actually be able to reach someone on Tuesday? Here’s my thing. The child desperately needs therapy and there’s no way we can afford the $350 a session for private speech therapy so the school is our only recourse but at the same point he’s not getting it. His last appt was December 12th. UMM Already over a month ago and now we’re talking another week and a few days before he could possibly start. This just isn’t working for me.
